New Delhi, July 25 -- Even as parties are gear up for the debate on Operation Sindoor, Trinamool Congress said on Thursday that their focus remains on the Election Commission's special intensive review (SIR) and the alleged harassment of Bengalies in big cities including Delhi. TMC's Rajya Sabha floor leader Derek O'Brien said, "...About 30 MPs from the Opposition gave Notices on the issue of SIR. We have serious apprehensions that after Bihar the EC's next target will be West Bengal." Bengal is going to assembly election in 2026." "Our first demand is to debate SIR. Why didn't the government start the debate (on SIR) this week ? Discussions on SIR, Operation Sindoor and the targeted attacks on Bengal are our top three priorities..." said O'Brien....
