Time to stop ignoring BJP, says ex-Union minister
PRAYAGRAJ, July 7 -- Former Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday said in every BJP-ruled state, the Modi government had left no stone unturned for the development of Muslims, even if the latter did not vote in the BJP's favour.
The time had come when the political intolerance against the BJP must stop, as ignoring the party was proving to be a mantra of loss for the country and the Muslims, he noted.
Naqvi said this during his short visit to his native village Bhadari in Prata- ppur development block of Prayagraj on Sunday mor- ning on the tenth day of Muharram.
Before this, he went directly to karbala located at Saathardih where he offered 'pursa' in memory of Hazrat Imam Hussain and his 72 comp-anions and offered flowers of devotion.
He also went to Imambara and gave Imam Hussain's 'pursa' to Imam Hus- sain's mother Janab Fatima Zehra.
After this, he met his family members and left for Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport in Varanasi by car.
Naqvi also said that Moharram was not for any one religion or sect, but a time to commemorate the messiah of humanity, Imam Hussain....
