Haldwani, May 30 -- An adult tiger was found dead at a water source in the Tarai West forest division of the US Nagar district on Thursday, forest officials aware of the matter said, adding that the death could be a result of a territorial fight. The carcass was discovered by the patrolling staff at Plot 13-A in the Bail Pokhara beat under the Bannakhera range, said Prakash Chandra Arya, divisional forest officer (DFO) of Tarai West. "The patrolling team spotted the carcass and alerted the senior officials," Arya said. "There were no signs of foul play, and all vital body parts - nails, teeth, and skin - were intact," he said. However, officials found injury marks on the carcass, following which they suspected it to be a case of a territorial fight. "It appears to be a territorial fight, a natural occurrence among tigers," Arya said....
