VARANASI, Nov. 28 -- Three people were killed when a car with wedding guests fell into a ditch in Jaunpur on Wednesday night, police said. The incident, which occurred near Muftiganj under the Kerakat police station limits, also left two others injured, superintendent of police Kaustubh said. The deceased were identified as Bablu Sonkar (45), Shyamlal Sonkar (35), and Raju Sonkar (45) from the Cantonment area of Varanasi. Police said the wedding guests were going to Jaunpur from Varanasi when their SUV lost its balance and fell into the ditch. The injured were initially rushed to the local district hospital and then to the BHU Trauma Centre in Varanasi after the accident.
