Three teens dead after bike crashes into parked truck
Meerut, Sept. 10 -- Three teenagers on a motorcycle died in an accident early on Tuesday, after the two-wheeler collided with a stationary truck on Badaun Road, near Julepura village, in the Gunnaur police station area in Sambhal district.
The crash occurred at around 1:30 am.The victims- Rehan (18), Arman (16), and Hasnain (16)-were returning to their lodging after completing their night shift at the Delhi Darbar hotel near Nehru Chowk.
According to the police, their motorcycle hit the rear of a truck parked along the roadside.
The truck, owned by driver Anil of Solana village in Hapur district, was transporting electricity poles made of cement from Sikandrabad to Bareilly. Anil had parked the vehicle and was checking its wheels at the time of the accident.
Rehan died on the spot while his two companions, Hasnain, son of Hashim Ali, and Arman, son of Kallu from Sahaswan police station area, Badaun district, suffered critical injuries. Both succumbed to their injuries while being rushed to the community health centre in Gunnaur, where doctors declared them dead.
Upon receiving the distress call, Gunnaur's station house officer (SHO) Akhilesh Pradhan, along with circle officer (CO) Deepak Tiwari and the local police team, arrived at the scene to secure the area and gather information.
The bodies were sent for a post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered.
Additional superintendent of police (ASP) Anukriti Sharma visited the accident site on Tuesday morning to oversee investigations and collect further details. She confirmed that appropriate legal proceedings are being pursued....
