Kanpur, Dec. 4 -- Three teenagers returning home after attending a bhandara in Jalaun were killed late on Tuesday night when their motorcycle rammed into an electricity pole on a kutcha stretch near Gadhaila village. None of them was wearing a helmet, police said. According to officers from Jalaun Kotwali, the victims - Anshuman Parihar,17, Ankit Sakwar, 14, and Krishan Kumar, 14, all residents of Hathna Bujurg - had ridden to Gadhaila for a community feast held during the annual 11-kundi yajna and Bhagwat event. The crash occurred around 11 pm while they were returning to their village. Police said the motorcycle went out of control on the uneven, potholed kutcha road and swerved straight into an electricity pole. The impact was so severe that Krishan Kumar and Anshuman died on the spot. Ankit, who suffered critical head injuries, was taken by police to the medical college, but died on the way. Preliminary inquiry suggests all three hit the pole head-first, and the absence of helmets proved fatal, officers added. The deaths of the three boys - all from the same village - plunged Hathna Bujurg into mourning. Police have launched an inquiry and further action is underway....
