Varanasi, Sept. 23 -- Three people were swept away by the strong current of a river at Mukkhapall in the Ghorawal area of Sonbhadra on Sunday, police said. Shriram, 45, was bathing at Mukkha Fall when he was caught in the fast-moving water. He was returning from Parsiya village with some locals. His brother Buddhu Baiga reported the incident to the police. Divers later recovered Shriram's body and it was sent for post-mortem examination, said circle officer Rahul Pandey. In a separate incident at the same spot, four young men from Robertsganj-Vishal Patel, Shivam Patel, Rahul Patel, and Indrajeet Patel-were sitting on a small patch of land surrounded by water when the water level suddenly rose. While trying to escape, Rahul Patel and Indrajeet Patel, both from Nai Bazar, were swept away by the current and went missing. The local police and divers arrived quickly to search for the missing men but have not been able to find them yet. The search is ongoing....
