Three sisters among six drown in Yamuna; CM Yogi expresses grief
AGRA, June 4 -- At least six minor girls drowned while bathing in the Yamuna on Tuesday morning at Nagla Nathu village in Agra district. The girls, who were in the village for a relative's wedding, went to bathe in the river when they were swept away by deep waters. All six were pulled out by rescue teams, but none could survive. Two died during treatment while four were declared dead on the spot, police said.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the deaths of the girls and extended condolences to the bereaved families. He directed the district authorities to provide all necessary support.
