VARANASI, Nov. 26 -- :Police nabbed three persons in connection with the murder of one Rohitas Pal in Mughalsarai area of Chandauli on November 18, said officials. Pal was killed over a property dispute. The accused have been identified as Om Prakash Jaiswal, Manoj Kumar Jaiswal, both residents of Mughalsarai, and Bhanu Jaiswal, a resident of Bazaar Jajid, Nadesar in Cantt area of Varanasi, said superintendent of police, Chandauli, Aditya Langeh. The officer added that during interrogation, the accused disclosed that Bhanu Jaiswal had purchased a property at a low price from relatives of Rohitas who allegedly fraudulently also sold the ancestral part that belonged to Rohitas. Bhanu was trying to take possession of the land, which was repeatedly opposed by the deceased Rohitas Pal because one portion of the land belonged to him. Rohitas had filed a case in the court for cancellation of Bhanu Jaiswal's sale deed. After Bhanu failed to gain possession of the land, he along with Om Prakash Jaiswal and Manoj Jaiswal hatched a conspiracy to kill him. Deceased's brother Sirdhath Pal, a resident of Ravinagar under Mughalsarai Police Station filed a complaint alleging that on November 18, at approximately 10.30 pm, my elder brother Rohitas Pal was about to leave the medical store for home. All of sudden an unknown person shot him in the head from behind, seriously injuring him. Rohitas was rushed to a hospital from where he was referred to the Trauma Centre, IMS-BHU. He, however, succumbed to injuries. Two men died after their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Phaphamau Ganga Bridge near here late Monday night. The two, who are said to be relatives, were returning home from a wedding ceremony when the accident occurred, police said. Police conducted the postmortem on Tuesday and handed over the bodies to their families. A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to identify the vehicle involved. According to police, Rahul Kumar (24), a resident of Jhunsi Kohna, and his brother-in-law Shani Kumar (23), of Sadiyabad had attended a wedding at Kanshiram Colony in Shantipuram on Monday night. The two left for home around 1 am on Tuesday on a motorcycle.
