Three men killed in road accident on new bypass near Pilibhit
Meerut, May 22 -- A tragic road accident claimed the lives of three young men late Tuesday night on the newly constructed bypass road adjacent to Pilibhit city. The incident occurred when a speeding car rammed into a motorcycle carrying the three victims, leading to fatal injuries.
The collision took place in the Neoria area, where, according to police, the car driver fled the scene immediately after the crash, leaving the severely injured youths behind.
Locals from nearby villages rushed to the spot upon hearing the news, and soon the area was swarming with a distressed crowd. Police teams from Neoria and Kotwali police stations arrived promptly and arranged for the injured to be taken to the district hospital. Two of the victims were declared dead on arrival by doctors. The third succumbed to his injuries a short while later during treatment. After initial challenges in identifying the victims, the police managed to confirm their identities later in the night. The deceased have been identified as Arvind Kumar (30) of Bithora Khurd; Raj Kumar (28) of Nawabganj; and Pawan Kumar (24) of Barkheda.
Neoria station house officer (SHO) Subhash Chandra confirmed that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations and that further investigation into the hit-and-run case is ongoing. "Efforts are also underway to trace the absconding driver and the vehicle involved," he said....
