Three men arrested for objectionable posts on social media
VARANASI, May 12 -- Police have arrested three men of Sonbhadra for allegedly posting objectionable content on social media and posting a doctored video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the social media account of a Pakistani Youtuber, said police.
A senior police officer said that the accused have been identified as Shabbir Ansari, Zubair Ansari and Izhar, all residents of Surya Mohalla under Tagore Nagar locality of Anpara police station area in Sonbhadra district. The police officer said that one Bal Gopal Chaurasia filed a complaint alleging that Shabbir, Zubair and Izhar posted objectionable comments against the nation.
Confirming it, additional superintendent of police Kalu Singh said, "Based on the complaint, a case has been registered under section 353(2) (statements conducing to public mischief), 196(1)A (promoting enmity), and 3 (5) () of BNS against the trio. Thereafter, an investigation was done which revealed that their all posts on social media were anti-India. It appeared that the trio gave the confidential information of the country to the enemy country."
"After that Shabbir, Zubair and Izhar were arrested," said the ASP adding that the further investigation is on and required legal action was being taken....
