VARANASI, Jan. 26 -- Three people were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a car and a pickup truck near Vishdharwa under Myorpur police station area of Sonbhadra on Sunday evening, police said. The deceased have been identified as Sanjay 60, Hiramati 55, and Akhilesh 65, all residents of Chetwa, Bijpur police station area. The injured are Prabhu 23, Govind, 21 and a driver 20, police said and added that all three were rushed to the CHC Myorpur, where they are currently receiving treatment. Myorpur in-charge Inspector Ram Daras Ram said that the pickup truck has been seized. Two labourers died and two others were injured when a tractor carrying bamboo overturned near Kaima intersection in Painsha on Saturday night. As per reports, labourers from Anetha village were headed to Andawan in the Kokhraj area after cutting and loading bamboo onto a tractor. Near Kaima intersection, the vehicle went out of control and overturned. Suresh Kumar Gautam, 28, and Arjun Gautam, 35, both residents of Jam village under Dhata police station in Fatehpur district, died on the spot. The injured were rushed to Sirathu CHC, where doctors declared both deceased. A trailer cleaner was killed in a tragic road accident on Saturday night near Sonpura village on the Sultanpur-Jaunpur highway under the Aspur Devsara police station limits in Pratapgarh. A speeding truck crashed into a trailer that had been parked on the roadside, fatally injuring the cleaner who was inspecting the vehicle. According to reports, Jasveer Singh, a resident of Sevakha village in Lakhimpur Kheri, was travelling from Odisha to Punjab in his trailer. On Saturday night, he stopped the vehicle near Sonpura village to have tea. Meanwhile, his brother, Dalveer Singh, 28, stepped down to check the tires. Moments later, a truck approaching from the Jaunpur side lost control and rammed into the stationary trailer. The impact left Dalveer with severe head and body injuries, and he died on the spot....
