LUCKNOW, July 26 -- A man and two women were taken into police custody for creating nuisance in public and refusing to cooperate with authorities while being heavily intoxicated, police said. The incident was said to have taken place in Gomti Nagar Extension on Thursday evening. In a video on social media, the trio can be heard engaging in a heated argument with police officers. According to inspector Sudhir Awasthi, police received information around 5 pm about a group of people misbehaving with others under the influence of alcohol. Upon arrival, the officers tried to calm the trio, but they began arguing with police and accusing the police of extorting money and taking bribes.The three in custody were identified as Manoj Verma, his wife Varsha Verma, and their friend Sunita Verma, all originally from Barabanki. They currently reside in Lucknow's Bharwara area in a rented house. Manoj works as a property dealer and also drives for a ride-hailing service....
