Three-day world meet on Vedic science opens in Varanasi
VARANASI, March 17 -- A three-day international conference on "Various Forms of Vedic Science" by Centre for Vedic Science, Faculty of Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vijan was inaugurated at the BHU on Monday.
Experts deliberated on six sub-themes of the conference including Science of Yajna, Life Sciences, Shabdtatva Science,
Mathematics and Cosmology, Environmental Sciences and Philosophy, and Law and Management Science.
With the participation of scholars, researchers and subject experts from India and abroad, the conference is witnessing discussions on Vedic studies, scientific perspective, cultural heritage, and the reinterpretation of Indian knowledge traditions in a global context.
The chief guest, vice-chancellor Prof Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi emphasised the significance of this conference on various dimensions of Vedic science.
Describing it as a highly ambitious initiative, he said that it is necessary to move forward rapidly in the same direction for which the Centre for Vedic Science was established.
Scholars must link Vedic knowledge with modern research and base it on logic to expand its global relevance, speakers said. Murli Manohar Pathak highlighted Vedic links with philosophy, cosmology and environmental balance.
