Meerut, Dec. 30 -- Three members of a family were charred to death and four others injured after a major fire broke out due to blast in LPG cylinders in a two-storey residential building in Vasundhara Residency of Muzaffarnagar on Monday evening. Police said the incident occurred at around 5.30pm when a fire suddenly erupted on the second floor of the building where the family was living on rent.The deceased were identified as Amit Gaur, 50, his mother Sushila Devi, 68, and his younger brother Nitin Gaur, 45. Four others sustained severe burn injuries. Firefighters took nearly 30 minutes to control the blaze.
