Third phase of e-lottery for liquor shops conducted
LUCKNOW, April 10 -- The third phase of e-lottery for 59 country liquor shops, four composite shops, 64 of cannabis shops and six model shops was conducted on Wednesday in 21 districts of the state under the technical support and guidance of experts of NIC state-level and district-level units, according to an official release from the excise department. As many as 42 shops of country liquor, 22 shops of cannabis and five model shops were arranged in the process. The state government will receive about Rs 21.23 crore as licence fees from the arrangement of these shops. About 51.45 lakh bulk litre quota was arranged in the country liquor shops. For this phase, a total of 690 applications were received for 133 advertised shops, and the state government received about Rs 4.11 crore as processing fees. Now, the arrangement of the remaining 16 country liquor shops, four composite shops, 32 bhang shops and one model shop will be completed through e-tender, the release said....
