PRAYAGRAJ, Dec. 12 -- Protesting the alleged allotment of their traditional land to another organisation, Teerth Purohits under the banner of the Prayagwal Sabha continued their dharna outside the Mela office for the second consecutive day on Thursday. They have warned that they will boycott the upcoming Magh Mela if their land is not restored. Prayagwal Sabha president Rajendra Paliwal alleged that the Mela administration was acting arbitrarily in allocating land to religious organisations for Magh Mela 2026. He said that although the administration was aware that three plots on Mahaveer Marg in Sector 3, close to the pontoon bridge, and another plot in the Sangam lower area had traditionally been allotted to the Prayagwal Sabha, the same plots were now being given to the Khakchowk Management Committee.
