Prayagraj, May 24 -- The body of a 13-year-old boy was discovered floating near the banks of the Yamuna River in Kanjasa village, within the limits of Ghoorpur police station on Friday morning. The boy's family has alleged that he was murdered. The deceased, identified as Rohit, son of Sipahi Lal Nishad, had gone to the riverbank with his goats on Thursday morning but failed to return home. Worried, the family searched for him throughout the night. The following morning, villagers spotted Rohit's body at the ghat and informed the police. Station house officer (SHO) Dinesh Singh of Ghoorpur police station arrived at the scene, made enquiries, and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. As blood was seen coming from the boy's mouth and nose, a forensic team and dog squad were called to gather evidence. Although the family strongly suspects foul play, police say drowning may have been the cause. "At first glance, it appears he drowned while bathing in the Yamuna," said SHO Singh....
