PRAYAGRAJ, April 29 -- A teenage girl, resident of a village under Kokhraj police station area in Kaushambi district, was kidnapped by a youth staying in her neighbourhood along with his friend on April 24. Both the youths took the girl to Kanpur and held her hostage and allegedly raped her. When the girl protested, they allegedly beat her up mercilessly. The next day, somehow the victim managed to escape from the clutches of the youths and reached home. The Kokhraj police have filed a case on the complaint of the victim's father and launched a hunt for the accused.The victim's father informed that a youth who resided in neighbourhood had been harassing his 16-year-old daughter since long.On April 24, the key accused and his friend kidnapped the girl from near her house. Both the accused took the girl to Kanpur in a car and held her hostage in a room there and raped her. When she protested, they assaulted her. On the night of April 25, the victim somehow managed to escape from the clutches of her abductors and reached home. When she told her family about her ordeal, they were shocked.
