Teen kills self in C'garh school; principal held
Raipur, Nov. 26 -- A 15-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide inside the study room of a private school in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district and accused the 35-year-old principal of molestation and sexual harassment in her suicide note, officials said on Tuesday.
Jashpur senior superintendent of police Shashi Mohan Singh said, "We arrested the accused based on the contents of the suicide note and other findings," SP Singh said.
A case has been registered and a magisterial inquiry has been ordered.
The girl was a resident of the neighbouring Surguja district and lived in the school's hostel, which was allegedly being run on the campus without authorisation, revealed preliminary findings of a joint team of the education, tribal and police departments.
"All relevant documents of the hostel have been seized," assistant commissioner of the Tribal Department Sanjay Singh said.
"The exact circumstances leading to the suicide will be known only after the probe," Bagicha sub-divisional magistrate Pradeep Rathiya said....
