Teen girl sexually assaulted, brother beaten up in Kaushambi district
PRAYAGRAJ, Dec. 10 -- A 16-year-old girl from the Paschim Sharira area of Kaushambi, who was heading to the fields to relieve herself, was raped by a young man from her village early on Monday morning.
Hearing her screams, her younger brother arrived at the scene and the accused brutally beat both the victim and her brother. Following the complaint, the police filed a case and immediately began searching for the accused.
It is alleged that the young man from her village was already lying in wait in a secluded area. He grabbed her, threatened her, and raped her. Hearing her screams, the victim's brother arrived at the scene.
The accused then abused and kicked and beat both the victim and her brother.
SHO of Pachim Sharira Police Station Harish Tiwari said that a case has been filed based on the young woman's complaint. A hunt is now on for the accused.
The driver of a school bus carrying children from home to school lost control of the vehicle on Tuesday morning, colliding with an electric pole before crashing into a roadside ditch, leaving four people, including a child, injured in Pratapgarh district. Fortunately, all five children on the bus escaped unhurt, police said.
The incident took place in Babaganj area under Sangramgarh police station jurisdiction. The bus, belonging to a private school in Lalganj, was transporting five students when it lost control near the intersection of Gondahi and Narai, hit the electric pole, and subsequently struck people sitting near a roadside bonfire before falling into the ditch.
Among the injured were 40-year-old Poonam, her 14-year-old daughter Alia, 10-year-old son Anjal, and 3-year-old child Sanskar, all residents of Gondahi. They were immediately rushed to the nearby Community Health Center (CHC) by locals.
Police on Tuesday arrested another wanted suspect in the murder of roadways contract worker Ravendra alias Munnu, who was shot dead in broad daylight on October 21 in the Mundera area of Prayagraj.
The arrested accused, Faiz alias Shahfaiz-who carried a reward of Rs.50,000-was found in possession of an illegal country-made pistol and two cartridges, officials said.
With Faiz's arrest, police have now taken into custody and sent to jail seven accused in the case, while the search continues for another absconding suspect, Hasnain.
Cybercriminals lured a trader from Pratapgarh with promises of high returns in a trading business and cheated him of Rs.57 lakh. When the trader demanded his money back, the fraudsters refused. Following a complaint, the Cyber Police have frozen Rs.12 lakh in the accounts of the accused.
Arpit Khandelwal, a trader residing in the Pratapgarh's Chowk area, filed a complaint at the Cyber Police Station, providing details of the transactions. On investigation, the police found that the accounts of the accused contained only Rs.12 lakh, which has now been frozen....
