Rudrapur, Aug. 4 -- The protection of children from sexual offences(Pocso) court has sentenced a five-year rigorous imprisonment to a teacher of a private school in Sitarganj of US Nagar district for molesting a minor girl in school premises in 2022. Vipul Kumar Pandey, special public prosecutor said, "The Pocso court on Saturday convicted a teacher in Sitarganj who molested minor girls in the school. He was booked and arrested by the police. Five witnesses were produced in the court and the court awarded him imprisonment. The judge also slapped a fine of Rs.10,000 on the teacher." The case pertains to a complaint filed by a man on July 19, 2022, stating that his 15-year-old daughter studying in a private school was molested by her teacher.
