Teacher robbed by SUV-borne men, inquiry on
LUCKNOW, Feb. 6 -- A schoolteacher was allegedly robbed by two or three unidentified men travelling in an SUV here on Thursday morning. The assailants allegedly snatched his mobile phone and Rs.500 in cash, threatened him and fled after dropping him near Kisan Path, police said.
The victim, Balram Patel in his 40s, is a teacher at a government inter college in Bahraich. His wife, Kiran Devi, a resident of Chinhat, lodged a complaint at the BKT police station.
According to the complaint, Patel was standing at Kamta taxi stand when the suspects offered him a lift. After he boarded the vehicle, the men allegedly robbed him. The accused also threatened Patel with dire consequences if he informed anyone about the incident. Meanwhile, police have started a search operation and are also scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the accused.htc...
