Teacher recruitment: Candidates meet deputy CM, seek govt push in SC
LUCKNOW, Sept. 15 -- A delegation of reserved category candidates from the 69,000 teacher recruitment met Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya on Sunday, pressing for proper representation of their case in the Supreme Court.
The candidates said the matter has been pending in the apex court for over a year, with 23 hearings held so far, but no appearance made by the state government advocate. They urged that the government counsel must present their case effectively in the next hearing to ensure justice.
The delegation included Vikram Yadav, Amit Maurya and Dhananjay Gupta. Gupta, leading the protest, alleged that due to the negligence of senior Basic Education Department officials, the case has been stuck despite favourable orders from the National Backward Classes Commission and the High Court.
Vikram Yadav warned that if their demands remain unheard, they would be forced to stage protests outside leaders' residences in Lucknow.
Neither Maurya nor his office issued any statement or social media post regarding the meeting....
