AGRA, May 24 -- Hearing could not take place in a case related to the Taj Mahal in the Court of Judge for Small Causes Court (JSCC) in Agra on Friday. July 22 was fixed as the next date for hearing an application moved for becoming party to the case by Syed Ibrahim Zaidi who claims Taj Mahal to be a waqf property. "We have opposed the application on ground that applicant Syed Ibrahim Zaidi is having no locus standi in case. The court will hear arguments on the application moved under Order 1 Rule 10 Civil Procedure Code on July 22," said Shiv Adhar Singh Tomar, the lawyer for petitioner. The petitioner is a right wing activist Ajay Tomar, who has sought permission for performing 'Jalabhishek' (offering of water) and 'Dughdhabhishek' (offering of milk) at the Taj Mahal during the Hindu holy Shravan month. The petitioner claims that Taj Mahal is, in fact, 'Tejo Mahalaya'--a Shiva temple--and not a mausoleum....
