LUCKNOW, June 13 -- Uttar Pradesh's seasoned bowler Sumit Vaish emerged victorious in the 1st North Zone Tenpin Bowling Ranking Tournament, defeating Delhi's Dhruv Sarda by a margin of 49 pinfall here on Thursday. In the grand finale, national-level player Vaish outperformed silver medalist at the 2019 Asian Tenpin Bowling Championship Sarda with a total score of 431-382. In game 1, Dhruv secured a 12-pin lead over Sumit, winning it by 205-193. However, in Game 2, Sumit changed his strategy, delivered a powerful performance, and completely turned the tide of the match, dominating with a score of 238-177. With this, he not only won the second game but also lifted the trophy with a higher total pinfall. In the special awards segment, Dhruv Sarda, and Sumit Goel were felicitated. Earlier, in the qualifier one, Sarda secured a direct spot in the finals by defeating Kapil Singhal with a pinfall score of 419-339. Kapil then moved to Qualifier 2.
