Haldwani, July 11 -- A foreign national from Sudan allegedly assaulted police personnel inside a police station in Haldwani on Wednesday, officers aware of the matter said on Thursday, adding that a video of the incident went viral on social media. Haldwani police station in-charge Rajesh Kumar Yadav said the accused, Kon, was found wandering in an intoxicated condition near the Roadways bus stand in Haldwani on Tuesday night. Suspecting his behaviour, police brought him to the station for questioning, he added. "He was intoxicated and unresponsive during the night. The next morning, he became aggressive and started creating a commotion inside the police station," said Yadav.
