Lucknow, April 3 -- The social welfare department will soon reopen its portal for students who missed applying under the Scholarship and Fee Reimbursement Scheme for the academic session 2025-26. The aim is to ensure that all eligible students can re-apply and avail the scholarship's benefits. Beneficiaries will include students from the general and SC/ST categories. The department's objective is to ensure that no eligible student is deprived of a scholarship solely due to technical glitches or other administrative reasons. During the 2024-25 financial year, the department opened the portal for the same schemes. A total sum of Rs.81.12 crore was disbursed to 53,041 students. To integrate the transgender community into the social mainstream, they have also been included in this scheme.
