Lucknow, Nov. 13 -- The students of government upper primary schools (Class 7 to 9) will take part in the Sri Arvind National History Essay Competition 2025 being organised for students studying in government run schools and Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Schools (KGBVs). This event will be held from December 10 to 15 in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Foundation for Indian Historical and Cultural Research (FIHCR). Its objective is to develop patriotism, expression, and historical consciousness among students, so that they can experience India's immortal culture and glorious traditions through their knowledge and imagination. Students from classes 7, 8, and 9 of government schools and KGBVs will participate and express their thoughts, language skills, and a sensitive approach to history, according to a press release. Basic education minister Sandeep Singh said that the competition aims to foster interest in writing among students and to make them realise that India's history is a living inspiration. This initiative will enhance students' English proficiency and creative thinking, and instill in them the confidence that they too possess the power of creation to shape the nation's future. This essay competition is set to ignite a new spirit of patriotism, self-respect, and creativity among millions of students in Uttar Pradesh. This competition is both an educational activity and an opportunity for students to connect with the cultural soul of India. Essay topics will focus on unsung heroes of the freedom struggle, India's cultural renaissance, the preservation of ancient heritage, and great personalities who contributed to nation-building.
