Bahraich, Nov. 23 -- Government primary and upper primary schools across the Bahraich observed the first Bag-less Day on Saturday, following the implementation of the new academic calendar for the 2025-26 session issued by director general of schools, Monica Rani. According to the calendar, a total of 10 Saturdays between November 2025 and February 2026 have been designated as Bag-less Days, aimed at promoting joyful learning and activity-based education. As part of it, Saturday marked the launch of the initiative, and students enthusiastically embraced the experience. Without the burden of school bags, children took part in creative, skill-based and recreational activities designed to make learning more engaging. For many students, this was the first time they attended a regular school day without books and notebooks, which added to their excitement.
