LUCKNOW, May 14 -- A 22-year-old student, Divyanshi, died after being hit by a train near Mohibullapur Railway Station in Lucknow on Tuesday. She was reportedly wearing earphones and failed to hear the train's horn. Divyanshi, daughter of Roop Narayan and a resident of Khairabad in Sitapur, had been living in Aziz Nagar, while preparing for a banking career. She stayed with her siblings. According to Ashok Kumar, in-charge of the GRP City Outpost, the incident occurred near Platform No. 1 when Divyanshi was crossing the tracks. A train was approaching from the opposite direction, and though bystanders tried to warn her, she could not hear them due to her earphones. She was struck and died on the spot. Her brother Aditya said she had left home saying she was heading to her coaching class. The family confirmed she frequently wore earphones, even at home.
