Student killed as school railing collapses
Bahraich, Jan. 13 -- A tragic accident claimed the life of a 14-year-old student on Monday after a railing collapsed at a private school in the Kaiserganj area of Bahraich district.
The deceased has been identified as Ansh Mishra son of Sumit Kumar Mishra, a resident of Chulambha village. Ansh was a Class VIII student of Samrat Ashok Bal Vidya Mandir, located in Badrauli, under the Kaiserganj police station area.
The incident occurred at around 11 am when Ansh was leaving his classroom and heading towards the roof of the school building. A portion of the railing suddenly collapsed, crushing him and causing serious injuries.
The school management immediately rushed the injured student to a nearby community health centre, where doctors declared him dead.
Talking to HT, principal Ghanshyam Maurya said the school opened today after winter vacations as monthly tests were scheduled from January 16. Maurya said he heard something fall on the roof and when he reached there he found Ansh was unconscious and bleeding from his nose. He immediately rushed the boy to the primary health centre but doctors declared him dead.
Police sources said that since the family has not filed any complaint, no case has been registered so far.htc...
