LUCKNOW, June 16 -- A long-standing land dispute between two groups in Kalli Purab village allegedly escalated into a violent clash outside the Mohanlalganj ACP office and police station on Sunday, leading to the arrest of nine individuals. The incident unfolded when rival groups linked to village head Ram Khelawan and resident Ram Jiyawan came face to face while filing complaints. The altercation, reportedly sparked by an argument over the opening and closing of a door, quickly turned violent just metres from the police premises. Mohanlalganj station in-charge Dilesh Singh said that an FIR has been lodged, and further identification of others seen in the viral footage is underway. During the incident, the police station reportedly had limited staff presence, as several personnel were on duty for the police constables' appointment letter distribution ceremony. In a purported video of the clash, a lone constable is seen attempting to intervene but appears unable to disperse the crowd.
