LUCKNOW, Dec. 11 -- The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) arrested a Lucknow woman on Wednesday for allegedly running a brown sugar trafficking network spanning multiple districts. The accused, Nasreen Bano alias Badama of Khadra, Badi Pakadia, carried a reward of Rs.50,000 for her capture. STF officials said the arrest took place in Faridipur village under Thakurganj police station following an intelligence-driven operation. The accused was wanted in an NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) case registered at Kotwali Dehat police station, Bahraich. Her name emerged after a gang member was arrested on October 17, 2025, with 3.440 kg of brown sugar. A reward of Rs 50,000 was declared for information leading to her arrest. During interrogation, she allegedly admitted to managing a narcotics network across Lucknow, Bahraich, and nearby districts.
