Dehradun, Sept. 11 -- Uttarakhand cabinet, chaired by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, on Wednesday approved a poultry feed subsidy scheme by the animal husbandry department for farmers in nine hill districts - Almora, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Pauri Garhwal, Bageshwar, Tehri Garhwal, and Rudraprayag. In 2025-26, 816 beneficiaries covered under the broiler farm scheme, and 781 covered under the poultry valley establishment scheme, will be given the subsidy under the new scheme with a total feed subsidy allocation of Rs.2.83 crore, the state government said in an official press release. In a move to streamline public transport in Dehradun, the cabinet approved the creation of a special purpose vehicle - Dehradun City Transport Limited - to operate e-buses under Dehradun Smart City Limited and the PM e-Bus Seva Yojana, besides managing existing city bus services. The cabinet also sanctioned allotment of 9.918 hectares in Fazalpur Mehraula, Rudrapur, to the District Development Authority, Udham Singh Nagar, for planned colonies and commercial projects. It further approved the creation of posts in the advocate general's office at the Uttarakhand high court.
