Stage set for Unity March in UP, CM to lead in Gkp today
GORAKHPUR/lucknow, Nov. 10 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will participate in a two-kilometre Unity March (Ekta Yatra) in Gorakhpur on Monday to mark the ongoing 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel that began on October 31. Officials said similar yatras will be launched simultaneously in all 403 assembly constituencies of Uttar Pradesh and continue until November 25.
"The chief minister will lead the Unity March in Gorakhpur on Monday and state BJP president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary will lead the march in Gosaiganj assembly constituency of Ayodhya district," BJP state general secretary and state coordinator of the campaign Sanjay Rai said on Sunday. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya will lead the Ekta Yatra in Lucknow district's BKT assembly constituency and deputy CM Brajesh Pathak in Kanpur Cantt assembly constituency.
CM Yogi Adityanath on Sunday paid floral tributes to Buddhist monk Bhante A B Gyaneshwar, who passed away recently, in Kushinagar and said his life was a symbol of compassion, service, and peace.
