SSU gets B++ NAAC grade, Vc meets governor
LUCKNOW, July 9 -- Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi has been awarded a B++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), officials confirmed on Tuesday. With this, 18 state universities in Uttar Pradesh have now received NAAC accreditation.
Following the announcement, the university's vice-chancellor and a team of faculty members visited Raj Bhawan in Lucknow to express their gratitude to governor Anandiben Patel for her guidance.
Congratulating the university team, Patel said the B++ grade marks a significant milestone but stressed that efforts must now be intensified to aim for the highest NAAC grade. "The university must now go for quality improvement, enhance research, strengthen discipline, encourage social participation, and develop an efficient administrative culture," she said.
The governor also called for initiatives to preserve ancient manuscripts housed in the university. She instructed officials to organise regular competitions to promote public speaking in Sanskrit among students....
