SSC schedules same-day exam for 894 candidates
PRAYAGRAJ, Nov. 16 -- The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has taken a special precautionary step during the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025, which began on November 12, to ensure maximum transparency and prevent any kind of impersonation or malpractice in recruitment.
Under the SSC Central Region, which has its headquarters in Prayagraj, a total of 6,80,490 candidates are appearing for the exam across 59 centres in 13 cities of UP and Bihar. Among them, the Commission has identified 894 candidates whose application forms show identical details-such as candidate name, father's name, or address-matching with another applicant. To prevent misuse of multiple applications, SSC has scheduled the examination of all such candidates on the same day and in the same shift, said officials.
According to officials, if a single candidate has submitted multiple forms, they will effectively be able to appear only once. However, if such entries involve twins, both will still be able to take the exam.
SSC has also flagged 784 candidates whose photographs differ but whose addresses are exactly the same. Their examination has likewise been fixed for a single day and single shift. Officials clarified that if multiple forms originate from the same address due to reasons such as joint families or multiple tenants, all genuine candidates will be allowed to appear.
Confirming the move, SSC central region director Ashish Kumar Srivastava informed that 170 application forms have also been cancelled for various reasons, including submission of multiple forms and previous debarment of candidates....
