PRAYAGRAJ, April 30 -- In a significant achievement in the field of minimally invasive neurosurgery, doctors at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital (SRNH) Prayagraj, have successfully performed a complex and rare brain surgery-meningoencephalocele repair-using the endoscopic trans-nasal approach. The patient-a 10-year-old girl from Kushinagar-had been suffering for over two years from meningoencephalocele, a rare condition where brain tissue and its protective coverings herniate through the nasal cavity due to a congenital skull base defect.
