LUCKNOW, Jan. 6 -- A Sports Injury Centre is likely to come up at the Ram Sagar Mishra Joint Hospital in Sadhamau, Bakshi Ka Talab area. A proposal has been sent to the government, seeking approval for the budget and other necessary resources. All preparations for opening the centre have been completed. It is expected to be operational by February, said a health department official. Dr GP Gupta, additional director of the Lucknow division of the health department, said all preparations for opening the Sports Injury Centre have been completed and a proposal has been sent to the government, He further said the hospital will also operate an OPD and OT for sports injuries, where doctors will provide the best possible treatment to patients with injuries sustained during sports events. This centre will be managed by the orthopedics department. At present, there is no such centre in any government district hospital in the state.
