VARANASI, April 21 -- The Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust conducted various religious rituals at Kashi Vishwanath Dham on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya on Monday. Following tradition, Lord Vishnu was ceremonially adorned in his Badrinarayan form at the temple. Upholding the Sanatan traditions of Kashi Vishwanath temple, the Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple trust has made special arrangements for a continuous jalabhishek of Baba Kashi Vishwanath in the sanctum sanctorum on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. This ritual will continue daily until the holy month of Shravan. In a communique, the temple trust stated that this annual tradition is observed to ensure the uninterrupted offering of water (jalabhishek) to the Shivling. On the sacred occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, a special abhishek (ritual bathing) of Lord Baba Kashi Vishwanath was performed with the juices of various fruits during the midday Bhog Aarti at Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
