SP allying with those who imprisoned JP, says Pathak
Lucknow, Oct. 12 -- Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party and its chief Akhilesh Yadav, stating that the SP has always been opposed to democracy.
"The SP is conspiring to gain power by aligning with the Congress. It is the same Congress that had crushed democracy by imposing the Emergency," said Pathak.
"The Congress, with whom Akhilesh Yadav is now sharing the stage, is the same party that had sent Jayaprakash Narayan, a protector of democracy, to jail. On one hand, they garland Jayaprakash Narayan's statue, and on the other, they ally with those who imprisoned him; this is sheer political hypocrisy," added Pathak.
The deputy CM stated that Yadav's politics was based on family and self-interest, whereas the Bharatiya Janata Party is a party for all the sections of society that worked in accordance with the Constitution framed by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar....
