Ranchi, Aug. 24 -- The biography of former Jharkhand chief minister Shibu Soren is likely to be added to the school curriculum in Jharkhand, officials aware of the matter said on Friday. An official of the school education and literacy department said the matter was discussed on Wednesday in the meeting of a department officials under the chairmanship of department secretary Umashanker Singh. "It was decided that the draft of the text would be finalised by the end of August. Content will be added to the new books from the next academic session," the official said. Singh said the content will be designed keeping in mind the difficulty level that is suitable for different classes."For students of Class 1 and 2, the content will be in pictorial form, and then its level will be increased. In some classes a separate chapter will be added; in some classes it will be added with the content of other chapters," Singh said. Soren, also known as Guruji, was the founder of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. He died at a hospital in Delhi on August 4. The veteran leader had played a key role in the creation of a separate state of Jharkhand and served as the chief minister of the tribal state for three terms.
