KANPUR, Aug. 26 -- A 25-year-old software developer associated with a startup at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur died by suicide at his rented accommodation here on Monday, the police said. The developer, a native of Jalgaon, Maharashtra, had been working at the institute for the past two years. According to Kanpur's deputy commissioner of police (West) Dinesh Tripathi the body was discovered in the software developer's flat at Vijay Enclave, located near the IIT campus. Police officials, along with a forensic team, broke the door open to recover the body. The room has since been sealed for further investigation. A suicide note was purportedly found at the scene. In it, the software developer reportedly cited intense academic pressure and expressed feelings of inadequacy, stating: "I am unable to study, feeling like a failure. I don't drink alcohol, nor do I do any wrong things. Mumma, Papa, please forgive me." The family has been informed and is en route from Maharashtra, the police said....
