Society, family, edu together give positive direction to youths: HP guv
VARANASI, March 18 -- Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Kavinder Gupta said that to transform India into a developed nation, the youth must walk the path of education, moral values, and discipline. He emphasised that society, families, and educational institutions work together to give a positive direction to the youths so that the goal of drug-free India could be achieved.
He was speaking as chief guest at 'Bharat Vimarsh' organised at BHU on the theme 'Drug free India towards Viksit Bharat @2047" on Monday.
In collaboration with Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya Chair, Faculty of Social Sciences, BHU, two foundations organised the event.
Presiding over the event, BHU vice chancellor Prof Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi said that the objective of education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge, but also the cultivation of a sense of responsibility and moral consciousness within society.
Such discourses serve to inspire the youth towards the noble task of nation-building.
Prof Tej Pratap Singh, coordinator of the Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya Chair, Faculty of Social Sciences, BHU, said that Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya's philosophy of 'integral humanism' provides a direction for balanced and humane development within society. He emphasized that instilling a sense of responsibility towards the nation and society in the youth is of paramount importance.
Sumit Ankur Singh of Kashiana foundation said that the objective of 'Bharat Vimarsh' is to foster a meaningful dialogue among the nation, its culture, and its youth power, thereby bringing about positive change within society.
