PRAYAGRAJ, July 3 -- In a renewed effort to ensure the safety of school students, RTO-Prayagraj has intensified its inspection drive of school vehicles. On Wednesday, the RTO team conducted checks across the city and rural areas, carrying out thorough inspections of several school buses. During these checks, six vehicles were seized for violating safety standards, and 26 other vehicles were fined for violating norms, said officials. On Wednesday morning, led by Passenger Tax Officer (PTO) Keki Mishra, the RTO team visited a school in the Jhunsi area. During the inspection, it was found that the emergency door of one of the school buses was not functioning properly. Keki Mishra personally tried to open the door, but it didn't budge. Furthermore, the bus lacked other essential safety features such as a first aid box and fire safety equipment. Taking children's safety seriously, the RTO immediately seized the bus....
