PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 13 -- The Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad (IIIT-A) is set to host a six-day AICTE-ATAL sponsored faculty development programme (FDP) titled "Revolutionising Healthcare: The Role of AI in Drug Development, Clinical Trials, and Practice" from October 13 to 18 at its Jhalwa campus. Nidhi Mishra, organiser, said that the FDP aims to unite experts, researchers, and young faculty members from the fields of biology, bioinformatics, and data science. The programme will explore the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in reshaping the landscape of drug discovery, clinical trial optimisation, and healthcare innovation. Sintu K Samanta, associate professor at IIIT-A said that the FDP is being organised in collaboration with Dr Raghu R, CEO of Molecular Solutions Software Private Ltd. Prof Mukul Sharad Sutaone, director, IIIT-A will grace the inaugural session and share insights with the participants. The FDP will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Prof Cesar de la Fuente (University of Pennsylvania) besides Dr Raghu R, Dr Rakeshwar Bandichhor, Dr Anupriya Kumar, Dr Mohd Imran Siddiqui, and Dr Kunal Roy, among others.
