Six Assam tourists hurt asparked car rolls back near Taj
AGRA, May 6 -- As many as six tourists from Assam sustained injuries after a car parked in the designated area at the western gate of the Taj Mahal rolled back because of a slope there on Monday, police said.
According to the city police, four Assam tourists, who suffered minor injuries, were taken to the district hospital and were discharged after first aid.
The remaining two were taken Agra's SN Medical College and Hospital for CT scan as one of them was an 80-year-old woman, police said.
Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) (Taj security) Syed Areeb Ahmed said the injured tourists were provided medical aid and if required, action will follow.
Confirming the incident, station house officer (SHO), Tajganj police station, Jasvir Singh said the car had a registration number of New Delhi.
"As seen in the CCTV camera, the car suddenly began moving back because of slope. The domestic tourists with their back facing the car could not see the vehicle and were caught unawares."
