Siddhi Mishra guides KCA lift cricket trophy
India, March 28 -- LUCKNOW Siddhi Mishra's four-wicket haul on Friday helped KCA Kanpur lift the glittering trophy of the 1st Radhika Singh Memorial State-Level Women's Cricket Tournament, defeating Saharanpur by six wickets here.
At the Sage Cricket Ground, while batting first after winning the toss, Saharanpur could score 124/7 in stipulated 25 overs.
For the team, Disha Sharma played a useful innings of 30 runs, while Bhumi Singh contributed an unbeaten 30 runs. Additionally, Bharti Singh contributed 21 runs and Shikha Shalot added 15 runs to the total.
But it was Siddhi Mishra, who delivered a magnificent bowling performance, claiming 4/14 in her five-over quota. Siddhi Singh and Nandini shared two wickets between them.
In reply, KCA Kanpur successfully chased down the target, scoring 126 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 22.5 overs.
Opener Babita Yadav played a crucial innings for the team, scoring 32 runs off 48 balls, with the help of three hits to the fence. In the middle order, Shibu Singh Pal scored 33 runs off 37 balls, including three boundaries, while Tripti Singh added 16 runs to the tally.
Captain Archana Devi guided the team to victory with an unbeaten knock of 26 runs off 22 balls, featuring four boundaries. For Saharanpur, Janhvi, Shubha , Astha Verma, and Bhumi Singh claimed one wicket each....
