Agra, Jan. 15 -- A sub inspector in Etah district was suspended for speaking indecently with a woman over the phone. Enraged over this action, the sub inspector created ruckus at the police station, allegedly in an inebriated condition, and now is being booked for this act at the police station where he was working before being suspended. Deployed at Baghwala police station in Etah, sub inspector Chandrashekhar Gautam who was sent to a village to resolve a matter of dispute, returned with the number of a woman given in good faith. The sub inspector began talking to the woman repeatedly and soon began speaking indecently. The agitated woman complained to the office of SSP Etah and submitted a complaint along with an audio of recorded conversation on January 12. Taking a serious view, SSP Etah Shyam Narain Singh suspended the SI and shifted him from Baghwala police station to police lines in Etah. Baghwala police station incharge, Om Prakash Singh, said that instead of going to police lines, the suspended SI turned up at Baghwala police station in a semi-nude condition and used abusive language while speaking to the policemen present at police station, and obstructed routine work on Tuesday. He was later sent for medical examination. Later in the day, an FIR (copy of which is with HT) was registered at Baghwala police station, late on Tuesday night, against him under section 296, 292, 121(1) and 352 of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita on the complaint by Om Prakash Singh....
